Budgerigar (AKA Budgies)
Budgies come in all sizes, colors and shades of colors. The males can be taught to talk and whistle different tunes. The arn't very big so they don't require a very large cage to live in. They are very active and love to chirp when the sun comes up and all day long. There are two main types of budgies. English budgies or show budgies these are a much bigger budgie and have a fluffier appearance. They are mainly bred to be shown and judged though they make a great pet. Standard budgies are much smaller and slimmer. They are bred as pets to either be handled or just to hear their wonderful sounds. Either bird makes a great pet hand raised or parent raised they can be tamed very easy to sit on your shoulder and chew on your earrings.
