Update 8/22/07
I have some sad news about my male Rosey Bourke. He has developed some sort of tumor which will shorten his life span and prevent him from breeding. His mate will be relocated and paired up with a new mate. In the future I hope to get another pair of bourkes and try again with this beautiful species of birds.
Bourkes Parakeets are becoming more and more popular everyday. They can be found in a wide range of colors from pink to blue. When hand raised they make a great tame friend. We have purchased a pair of Bourkes for breeding purposes and hopefully one day will get to join in the excitement of raising some beautiful chicks. The male (Martini) is a Rosie Bourke he has a white head, pink body and pearled markings on his neck. The hen (Olive) is a nature colored Bourke with a brown body and some colors on her chest and tips of her wings.
This pair was purchased from In a Pickle Avairy. Click on their name to goto thier home page. Due to the light coloring and constant movement getting a good clear picture can be a real task.
