Big Blue a great blue male. He loves to breed. This is his first time with Ella and she is a new mother.
She laid 6 eggs originally. Three got broke. One hatch I doubt the other two will hatch but we'll see.
UPDATE: 04/02/08 Ok the one chicks is all that hatched and it is doing well. This chick will remain parent raised unless there is a problem at which point I will handfeed. As it turns out Ella is split to blue. The chick is most likely going to end up looking like dad being blue and white.
4/13/08 The one blue chick has been named Lible. Lible is doing fine feathering in well and should start adventuring out of the box soon.
4/24/08 The little survivor of the first clutch is weaned eating on his own and has been seperated. Mom has already laid 4 more eggs so far to try a second clutch.
05/12/08 Ella laid 6 eggs total for her second clutch. Last night the first one hatched. Pictures soon to come. Watch as they grow up.
5/22/08 4 of the 6 eggs have hatched. The other two were infertile and tossed. Pictures have been added and more will be added as this clutch grows up.
06/03/08 The oldest three are blue and the youngest a little green. In a few days I will get a better picture of them to show thier colors.
06/17/08 All going well the Oldest keeps coming out of the box to look around and see how things are.
06/30/08 Well Ella decided to lay another clutch before hers were even weaned and out of the box. I decided this time to let her keep the clutch only because the first one only had one chick. Watch to see how many chicks we get from this one. 7 eggs in total.
